The flat rate by zip code zone allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method ofshipping AND the ZIP code the item is being shipped to.

Description

The flat rate by zip code zone allows you to specify different shipping rates based on the method ofshipping AND the ZIP code the item is being shipped to. The rate can be a flat (fixed) dollar amount or a percentage of the subtotal of products in the basket. The module evaluates the "ship to" ZIP code and displays its methods and rates applicable to the destination. This prevents customers from selecting its lower rates which may not be available for them. Great for local shipping charges. Not compatible with the current google checkout module as that module does not use the customer's address to select the shipping methods available.

It supports MySQL as long as load balancing has the data stored on the single MySQL server and permissions are set correctly on the data directories. This would be the case in most of the server setups.
